Be Responsible For Your Own Safety

Pepper Spray allows you to defend yourself against attackers of any size. It provides you with a very effective means of quickly neutralizing an attacker giving you ample time to escape. Its effects are devastating to the attacker but are temporary and short lived, usually lasting about 20 minutes or so. These defensive sprays come in a wide variety of styles and many are even concealed in every day items such as cell phones and lipstick cases. Pepper Spray is legal in all 50 states however some states and cities do have some restrictions so it’s always best to check with your local authorities.

The best advice is to travel with any items of value such as laptops, money, jewellery, confidential information and sensitive files where they are hidden from view inside the boot or trunk.

As I have said many times over, if you are approached by an attacker make as much noise as you can. But what if you are grabbed from behind and the attacker covers your mouth? Personal Alarms are very inexpensive devices that you carry in a pocket, on your belt, or even in your hand and when you pull a small pin it activates an ear piercing siren sure to scare away even the most determined of criminals. Some personal alarms even have built in strobe lights that will temporarily blind and disorient an attacker. Many of these devices can be easily adapted to act as door and window guards as well.

The first day went well as we rode 105 miles and all of us did equally well. We were tired and all us knew there’s no staying up late to watch tv. We had to start the next morning at 5 am so that we could keep on track with the mileage that we knew we had to do.

If you are attacked, make a lot of noise. Many women and girls who are attacked become so frightened they forget to scream, which is strange, but true. Activate your personal alarm for children system.

When you’re out jogging, you should stay in areas of the neighborhood that you’re familiar with. Stay out of secluded areas, and get your exercise in places where you can be seen and heard instead.

When alone, pretend you are talking on your cell phone. Attackers don’t want you to tell someone you are being attacked. Have your car keys in your hand and ready. You can use them to stab someone that threatens you. If you have a remote car locking device, press the panic button to make your car alarm go off or even better carry a personal alarm on your keychain. Noise is a huge deterrent to a would be attacker. They don’t want the attention. NEVER let someone take you to another location. Fight, scream, yell fire and do anything possible to get away from the attacker.
